This drawing was done in the context of my intensive classical drawing program where we studied the effect of light, the background and the different materials. For this drawing, I was studying the effect of direct light on a white subject in a black background. I did this one in charcoal on white paper. 
 
One man show was a lot of fun. I found that with this setting the apple was really on display and put to advantage. It was enjoyable to work Mélancolie right beside it. I did One man show first, and only changed the light for the other one.
