Charcoal on white paper
 
This drawing was done in the context of my intensive classical drawing program where we studied the effect of light, the background and the different materials. For this drawing, I was studying the effect of diffuse and indirect light on a white subject in a black background. I did this one in charcoal on white paper. 
 
I practice my soft touch with the charcoal here to really render the right values at the right place. There was a ot of subtle change in values. I did this one side by side with the one titled «one man show». The only difference between the two is the light. I thought it was really interesting to do them changing only the light to realy study the effects.
