«Lueur et brouillard dans la complexité du présent» means light and haze in the complexity of the present. This painting is inspired by a picture I took on a skiing trip at Panorama , a mountain in BC, Canada. The view there is breath taking. That first morning on the mountain top, we were over the clouds, some mountain peaks were coming through the clouds and there was a beautiful glow. I felt awed, a bit scared, small in comparison to nature's sublime force and immensity.  
It represented well my situation at that time and at the time of the painting process. During that trip, I was excited for my first ski trip but i was also suffering from back problems imparing a lot my abilities. During the painting of it, I was pregnant with my second child, my present was beautiful and hectic. The prensent moment was hard to appreciate at times.
