This drawing was done in the context of my intensive classical drawing program where we studied the effect of light, the background and the different materials. For this drawing, I was studying the effect of direct light on a white subject in a dark background. I did this one in graphite on white paper. 
 
I put more work on the composition for this one because I really wanted to have a play with the draperies to create some sort of landscape for the apple. I'm really happy with the results.
